Directorate of Nursing Statement about the Ptotest of Nurses in Sindh

It has come to known through Social Media that some Sections of Nursing Associations are planning for Protests to push for acceptance of their certain demands.

I, have gone through the earlier Proposal Document compiled & Signed by the Joint Action Committee of PNA & YNA, Technocrats of Health Department with inputs from Ex Director Sb as well.

The Directorate invites those who are serious for acceptance of their demands through a rationale process:

I. -all legitimate demands be processed through DNS-Office as DNS Office is the apex body of Nursing in the Province so bye passing or degrading it without any reason is not a justifiable action.

II. - If not satisfied then utilize the way to Additional Chief Secretary Health who has no any briefing of the demands and justification of the cause and legitimate case of demands.

III. -If not satisfied there too, then every body has genuine right to go for Protests .

I invite all serious and sensible leadership to come to DNS Office or Sent the charter of demands to DNS Office. This is an educated procedure through which all must go through.

DNS assures all if convinced for the legality and genuineness of demands, Directorate will serve as your best advocate for acceptance of demands and it will always welcome every association or Forum to help find solutions of real , feasible ,rationale issues having ramifications over collective betterment of both Service & Educational Sectors of Nursing.

Leadership is advised again to take a sensible and effective way for acceptance of the demands ad the Nursing is profession of Gusseted and Commissioned Officers. Take your profession to the level as it deserves. Plz not let some novice people to behave like lower staff or those having hidden agendas to malign the Health Department & Government of Sindh without going through a legal and reasonable process of acceptance of our collective demands.

All concerned Associations and sensible real leadership is invited to come in DNS-Office or send their demands through mail so that a working paper could be made for professional betterment.

New Nurses Uniform by Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (January 2024)

The Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PNMC) has introduced a new uniform dress code for nurses working in clinical settings across the country. The announcement, in an official letter from the PNMC dated January 31, 2024, stated guidance about professional attire of nursing staff in Pakistan. Recently, the examination has been abolished by PNC due to some understandable reasons. Some people are of the view that PNC licensure examination for GBSN is unjust and unnecessary.
