The DNS charge resumed on 14th Oct-18 with directions from ACS (H)  to bring Nursing on Track of Traditional Excellence within 3 months.

  1. Sent a clear & loud message to DNS Officials & SON Heads of Zero Tolerance on admissions against Merit & same uploaded for public, students & parents. There is no complaint yet of Broker’s Activity in Admissions.
  2. The Principals of SONs called & Government’s policy conveyed loud & clear: negligence & Discrepancy intolerable. 
  3. Met with Private Sectors Association Leaders & ensured fair play, vendetta & misunderstandings removed while extending the effective writ of Govt (H) Dept to Public & Private Sectors alike. The admissions verification, Biometry & other policies accepted in systemic way. Things are moving In progress as HD of Sindh wants to.
  4. Reconciliation initiated  & most Principals & Leaders responded  positively. Amanullah Sahib, Qamar Baloch Sahib, Asghar Jogi Sahib & Other Association Leaders Mr A. Qayoom Marwat, Mr James, Mr Muneem along with respected MPA-Sindh Assembly RN SAEED BHAI remained supportive in reforms process.
  5. Various  PNA-Sindh & Karachi delegates met & communicated. Mr Amanullah, Mr Zulifqar Sb, Ms Tal'ut Shah of PNA showed good will in the reforms While YNA-Chairman Mr Qamar Baloch & Ex YNA leader Mr Asghar Jogi, Mr Habib Soomro also declared positivity.. 
  6. More than 200 correspondences done ranging from Federal Govt, PNC, Sindh, (H) Dept-Sindh, SNEB, SONs in Public & Private, Principals, D.G Health, M.Sz of Public Hospitals about policy matters & endorsements. Thank God today PNC , SNEB , DNS Secretariat & SONs are streamlined as coordinated bodies without interference of Broker Mafia . Thanking to Guidance &  support of Additional Chief  Secretary (H) Sir Muhammad Usman Chaachar Sahib. 
  7. Base line data of SONs collected & tabulated. Monitoring of students & teachers through WhatsApp initiated by appointing  Focal Person who tabulates data on a format by AS-Admin Sir Jalalani Sb. The surprise visits by  Inspection Committee initiated as follow up. The same to be extended to Private Sector in the next phase. 
  8. First time, the real election / Nomination  of PNC Membets completed as per PNC Provisions. Ms Rubeena Shar Ms Aalya Nasir Khwaja , Ms Sughra Baby nominated with  consensus.
  9. On the Minister(H) Madam Azra Pechuho Sahiba's Directions, the DNS  is working to increase the seat allocations on the vacant  seats in Schools due last year's t IB-Test. With the support of Minister Sahiba, the ACS-(H) & collaboration of BBYDP & PNC, SNEB & SONs, DNS  may be able to increase almost 200 to 400 seats in the Schools, which would be  biggest achievement Insha Allah of DNS-Office.
  10. DNS is in process to formulate a policy for those who have done MSN & BScN to utilize them in Schools to enhance performance & give graduates official teaching experience to be needed in SPSC very soon hopefully.
  11. Integrated the 15 Midwifery Schools in to proposal draft of Revision of Rules of Promotions forwarded by Honorables: Minister(H) & ACS(H). 
  12. Got approval to withdraw the posts of Controller & Deputy Controller from SPSC for the time being. Letter to be dispatched to SPSC Insha Allah.

New Nurses Uniform by Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (January 2024)

The Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PNMC) has introduced a new uniform dress code for nurses working in clinical settings across the country. The announcement, in an official letter from the PNMC dated January 31, 2024, stated guidance about professional attire of nursing staff in Pakistan. The new dress code approved during the 6th session of the council held from January 15-17, 2024, under the leadership of Ms. Farzana Zulfiger, President of PNMC, specifies new uniforms for male and female nurses. Female nurses are to wear a dark blue shalwar kameez with a nameplate, accompanied by a white coat and a blue scarf/dupatta. Male nurses are required to wear dark blue scrubs along with a nameplate.
