A few days back, the message was viral on Whatsapp saying the information was from UNICEF. However, any link from UNICEF was not provided in the message. Now, someone has written UNICEF at the top and also included their institution's logo and name but everything else is the same. If one would see carefully the asterisk marks (*), used in Whatsapp to bold the text, are also there. In a few more days, someone may replace the name at the top with the logo of UNICEF and the message would seem to be an official statement. The Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PNMC) has introduced a new uniform dress code for nurses working in clinical settings across the country. The announcement, in an official letter from the PNMC dated January 31, 2024, stated guidance about professional attire of nursing staff in Pakistan. The new dress code approved during the 6th session of the council held from January 15-17, 2024, under the leadership of Ms. Farzana Zulfiger, President of PNMC, specifies new uniforms for male and female nurses.
