The land of Sindh, known as the Bab-ul-Islam (Gateway of Islam) and the Land Sofia (The Mystics who believe in Pluralism) witnessed the birth of Muhammad Ali on December 25 , 1876 in the small town of Jhirk جھرک , present-day in Thatta District. He was born to Poonja Bhayee Jeena جینا, and his caste 'Jenna' was later anglicized as ' Jinah that came in Sindhi and Urdua as جناح till then.
Jinnah Sahib played a crucial role in restoring the provincial status of Sindh and East Bengal, which had been revoked in 1935 from Maharahtar aand theited Province of Bengal.
He was a strong advocate for the rights of minorities, including Muslims, Christians, and Scheduled Castes (Hindus). This earned him the trust and respect of these communities across the India. Two of them were Shri Ambekar Yadav (Hindu ) and *S.P.Sangha (Christian)
In 1940, during the Lahore session of All India Muslim League, the Christian leader S.P. Singha was present, and in 1946, as the Speaker of the United Punjab Assembly, he supported the West-Punjab's merger with Pakistan.
Jinnah envisioned a Pakistan where people of all faiths could practice their religions freely. In his famous speech to the Sindh Assembly on August 11, 1947 just three days before independence of 🇵🇰 he proclaimed, ' You are free to go to your temples, mosques, or any other place of worship in this State of Pakistan.' He emphasized that while people may have different faiths, they are all equal citizens of Pakistan
Today, on the occasion of Great Leaders Jinnah's birth anniversary, which coincides with Christmas ,let we all reaffirm our commitment to the principles of equality and justice enshrined in the creation ision of Pakistan as proclaimed by Jinnah Sahib.
Let us all pledge again to uphold the rights of all citizens regardless of their faith, caste, or creed and reclaim and rebuild our great country to those ethos which brought Allama Iqbal's dream 1930 in to a reality in 1947 under the leadership of Quid-e- Azam- the Great Leader.
