Breaking the Ice with Top Bureaucracy

Most Significant & Most Meaningful so far.

1. It was the first consultative meeting by the Ministry with both stakeholders i.e AHPF President Zumrad Khan & PNMC Delegation led by Dr. Raisa Gul.

2. The draft bill for compatibility or incompatibility of the merger will originate from this forum i.e the.MoNHSR&C.

3. The point of views articulated by Dr. Raisa Gul was the same that leaders finalized at NMLF and got endorsed at PNC meeting attended by major stakeholders gathered across Pakistan.

4. The Ministry High ups gave the logic a passionate hearing as evident from the comments in favor of what Dr. Raisa articulated as an astute in table talks. So much so that Dr. Sabeen,a technocrat of the Ministry, gave views that substantiated what Dr. Gul articulated.

5. President of AHPC Zamrud Khan expressed less or more the same views as that of Dr. Gul. Even he admired our leader who had circulated our position paper to each policy maker.

6. With all reservations about the compromised functioning of both councils, the chair indicated to incorporate concerns in the summary to the Prime Minister's Cabinet Secretary.

What Next?

I quote Dr. Gul's words in her text message after meeting today, " we need to speak the right things with the right person at the right time " Following that I suggest humble to all leaders 👇🏼

A . On Oct 9-10 another meeting by Ministry is taking place in Islamabad with focus on PNMC issues. Dr. Rafat & Dr. Gul must try again to be part of and to lead again.

B . The Cabinet Secretary must be approached and convinced. Dr. Raisa and her companions at Islamabad could do that.

C . The letters addressed to the Senate Chairman / Speaker/ Chairpersons of Parliamentary Standing Committees must continue from all.

D . Dr.Profesor Parvin Ali of Sheffield University and President of Pak Britian Nurses Association must also address a letter utilizing her unique position of being Editor of INC Magazine/Mouthpiece.

E . The Associations on ground must continue their campaign with logical views on newspapers and in social and electronic media.

The Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PNMC) has introduced a new uniform dress code for nurses working in clinical settings across the country. The announcement, in an official letter from the PNMC dated January 31, 2024, stated guidance about professional attire of nursing staff in Pakistan.
