A high-level meeting of expert nursing professionals and officials from Health Department Sindh was organised at the Directorate of Nursing, Karachi on 13th April 2019. The meeting was chaired by Special Secretary Abdul Hafeez Abbasi.

The agenda of the meeting was as follows:(i) How to let establish new nursing institution as a large number of applications pending for NOC in the face of the known problem of mushrooming
(ii) Modus operandi to keep constant check and balance on already recognized low-quality institutions
(iii) Affiliations with the universities following PNC HEC & Government decision of replacing 3-Year General Nursing Diploma into 4-Year BS Nursing /BS Midwifery Program
(iv) Admissions Criteria: Gender Ratio / Quota / Age etc.
(v) Any other issue raised
