Those who save one life are Heroes but those who save Hundreds are called Nurses.

Hundreds of our country men, women & children lose their lives or become disabled after suffering from sudden accidents, occupational hazards or nature born calamities every year.
Many research studies suggest that scores of lives could be saved from death and disability if those could be given immediate nursing / medica help at the spots called First Aid or Emergency Response.
Due to passionate interest of Provincial Health Minister Dr. Ezra Fazal Pechuho, 1122 Rescue Pakistan Life Savers Program(PLSP). Sindh Emergency Response (SERS) have started a campaign to train large scale of people with life-saving skills in the city and across province so that people hit by sudden accidents,climatic disasters or from occupational hazards hid individuals could be given expert life saving assistance at the spot. The large scale First Aid/Emergency Response training are beig conducted free of cost at the Centers or at institutes to achieve the cherished goal of minimizing death and disability. This vision has converged many volunteer organizations to collaborate with government in mass level campaigns to equip people with necessary life saving skills.
To be a part of this, the Korangi College of Nursing has started training sessions to train its 260 BS Nursing students the emergency response skills to save lives.
In this regard, the nationally reputed experts of PLSP Muhammad Shoaib, Mr. Ayaz, Dr. Hina, RN Ali and RN Hina Gilani came to K-CON and trained our 50 BSN Semester-7 and 5 students.
The Hands-On training modules included : 1- Restoring Breathing and assist in Sudden Cardiac Arrest, 2- Providing Immediate Response in case of profuse Bleeding Emergency.
A few days ago our 1st Semester's 64 students had received Immediate Life Saving Training in case of accidents, natural disasters etc at State of the - Art Trading Center run by Rescue 1122 & SERS Expert Trainers established at Karachi Expo Center.
The college aims to train remaining 140 students will be put through the same critical training process. And every effort will be made to equip our BS Nursing students with competencies and make them Mobile Live Saver Volunteers.
The Training Sessions are being facilitated our energetic young Faculty Saqib Sarfraz, Ms Shakeela, Ms Sameera, Ms Ishrat and Mr. Tariq Leghari while Principal Shabbir Jhatial along with VP Ms Razia Philip & Ms Ruth Zia are providing administrative aspects.
At the end of the training session, it was agreed to make Korangi College a Partner of this passionate campaign. The guests were given traditional memento honoring for their incrdibleband efficient services. The PLSP Trainers agreed to achieve common goals and training be offered to our volunteers to sustain and extend this process from one college to others willing for the same.
