PhD in Nursing Program Admissions Open for 2024

Shifa College of Nursing, under the esteemed Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University Islamabad, has officially announced the commencement of admissions for its PhD in Nursing Program for the session 2024. As a constituent college of the university, which holds a Federal Charter and General Category recognition by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the program is poised to equip nursing professionals with advanced knowledge and research skills.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

Prospective candidates must possess a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or an MSN equivalent for foreigner students, such as Nurse practitioner program, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in a semester system or minimum first division in the annual system from HEC and Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) recognized institutes/universities. Moreover, applicants should have completed Nursing Theories and Biostatistics courses in their MSN program. The college requires a minimum IELTS-Academic score of 6.5, with no individual component less than 6, and applicants must succeed in the college's entry test and interview process.

Application Requirements for PhD

Candidates must fulfill several prerequisites, including the completion of an online application form, a statement of interest, and a description of their proposed research project. Academic and professional degrees, along with certificates, must be attested, and a valid PNC registration or equivalent is necessary for foreign applicants. Two references, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer, and a presentation of the research proposal are also part of the application requirements.

Interested individuals are instructed to apply online at the university's official website and submit a Prospectus & Application Processing Fee Voucher of Rs.7,000. It is essential to send the paid fee voucher and attested copies of all required documents to the Student Affairs Office before the closing date.

The admission process opens on Monday, 11th December 2023, and will close on Friday, 19th January 2024.

The entrance test is scheduled for Saturday, 27th January 2024, at 9:00 AM, with classes commencing on Friday, 1st March 2024.
