Federal & Provincial Ministers of Health Pledge to Expedite National Agenda

The first ever meeting betwee new Federal Minister of NHSR&C Mr. Mustafa Kamal and Sindh's Minister of Health & Population Welfare took place in later's office today. This high level meeting discussed a wide range of issues with particular focus on devising a _Single Medical Record Number_ with NADRA's Computerised National Identity Card.

The Sindh Minister appreciated the Federal Minister for his compassion and commitment with the national cause. She however underlined that important initiatives must be routed to provinces before implementation to achieve the desired results.

The meeting ended with the pledge to continue the collaboration in all health related issues where both federal and provincial governments are stakeholders.

This first meeting between two ministers was facilitated by Special Assistant to Minister Health Dr. Dabeer Ahmed Khan who facilitated two major stakeholders to work closely and expedite the agenda avoiding the bureaucratic bottle necks.

New Nurses Uniform by Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (January 2024)

The Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PNMC) has introduced a new uniform dress code for nurses working in clinical settings across the country. The announcement, in an official letter from the PNMC dated January 31, 2024, stated guidance about professional attire of nursing staff in Pakistan. The new dress code approved during the 6th session of the council held from January 15-17, 2024, under the leadership of Ms. Farzana Zulfiger, President of PNMC, specifies new uniforms for male and female nurses.
