Nursing Symposium hosted by the College of Nursing NICH

Nursing Symposium hosted by the College of Nursing, National Institute of Child Health at Marriott Hotel was first of its kind from Govt Sector on such a mega scale at a prestigious venue.

This Climax Event was preceded by series of three pre symposium conferences at NICH's Auditorium.

This trend setter symposium was dedicated to renowned profession Ms. Afshan Nazly, the Founder Principal who was also chairperson of symposium along with Ms. Shabana Wazir Solangi and Shabir Hussain .

The symposium coincided with the first BSN graduating cohorts from any of public sector colleges after transformation from Degree to Diploma way back in 2018-19.

Eminent nursing scholars Dr(s) Yasmin Amarsi, Tazeen Sa'eed & Sumaira Panjwani shared thoughtful experiences about the topic and trends while the President PNMC & a member also highlighted pivotal role of Research in modern nursing.

Total 16 short listed papers, from scholars of Universities & Colleges across Sindh e.g Dow , C.o.N Benazir Larkana, ZUFONAM , AKUH & Colleges of Nursing Korangi , Lyari , Khara Dar , AKUSNAM were termed as meeting criteria to be published in global journals.

Certificates & mementos were graciously awarded to the presenters & guests underscoring their dedication to advancing nursing research and professional development.

Speakers showered heartfelt appreciation to the symposiums chairpersons , speakers , presenters and organizers Ms. Shabana Nazir & towering role of NICH Executive Director for unprecedented efforts in projecting the nurses work and research at prestigious venue.

New Nurses Uniform by Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (January 2024)

The Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PNMC) has introduced a new uniform dress code for nurses working in clinical settings across the country. The announcement, in an official letter from the PNMC dated January 31, 2024, stated guidance about professional attire of nursing staff in Pakistan.
